#33 and second pick in round one of the 2020 NBA Draft James Wiseman is back, following his rehabilitation time-off due to a torn meniscus. The Golden State Warriors’ 7-footer had his eyes on the prize racking up 11 points after playing for 20 minutes. After an intense game Warriors defeated the San Antonios Spurs 86:85.

In his rookie year, Wiseman averaged 11.5 points on 51.9% shooting from the field and 31.6% from beyond the arc. Among first-year players, Wiseman ranked third in rebounding, sixth in scoring, third in field goal percentage and fourth in blocks according to the statistics published by the Golden State Warriors.


Wiseman transferred to Memphis East High School, where he was coached by former NBA player Penny Hardaway. Wiseman was deemed a five-star recruit, w in the 2019 class. Claiming multiple national players of the year awards and played in the McDonald's All-American Game after his final season.

In an interview during the game, Moses Moody commented on Wiseman being back, saying “He’s [James] looking good, knocking down shots.” James Wiseman is definitely one to look out for during the 2022 Summer League, he has some great tricks up his sleeves.
